We began our involvement in purebred dogs in 1995 purchasing our first weimaraner "Ziggy" Ch. Pennywood's Ziggy Stardust, with the help of Ellen Grevatt. We began showing in American Kennel Club conformation as owner handlers. "Ziggy" finished his AKC Championship easily and became a Top Ten Weimaraner two years running 98' & 99'. We had lots of fun with him winning multiple specialty shows, group wins, as well as a veteran Best in Show. Although "Ziggy" passed on, he will always be in our hearts. Our love for weimaraners had grown. We decided to begin a breeding program. Once again we turned to our friend and mentor Ellen Grevatt "Greywind", to help us find a foundation bitch on order to start a line. She pointed us in the direction of Norman LeBoeuf "Norman's" a long time breeder, who had one puppy bitch in the litter of four.

This litter was from frozen semen out of Ellen's stud dog BIS Am/Bda & Nat Ch Greywind’s Jack Frost, CD, SD, V, BROM, HOF who had passed ten years prior to our involvment in dogs. With her encouragement, Norman agreed to let us purchase "Brie" Ch Norman'n'Greywind's Bonnie Brae, BROM. After finishing her Championship, "Brie" went on to produce a Futurity winner, an International Champion, as well as five Champions, & a Top Ten Ranked bitch. This was the beginning of our line, "Stardust Weimaraners", in loving memory of our first weimaraner.

Our breeding program consists of one or two litters a year. We believe we do not have to produce quantity, to have quality. We hope you enjoyed the story of our beginning, and hope to add lots more in years to come.
